Tim’s 12 Tags of 2014 – November

This tag was inspired by fall season: colors, leaves, berries. I took pictures while I was making it. So now you can see a mini tutorial.

Here is the finished tag for Tim’s 12 Tags of 2014.

And now I will be showing and describing the steps of making this tag.

I took standard manila tag and cut the same shape from corrugated cardboard. Then I tore some of the top layer of the cardboard.

I drew the leaf shape and hand cut it with a craft knife.

I toned the edges with Brushed Corduroy.

Then I spritzed the tag with Black Soot using a distress marker and distress marker spritzer tool.

For the background I put randomly distress ink on my craft sheet and sprayed it with water. The colors are: Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade и Mustard Seed.

I pushed and swept the tag through the ink and dried.

I repeated inking a few times to get the final result.

I put Brushed Corduroy ink on the top part of an embossing folder.

Then I placed the tag inside and ran it through my Big Shot.

I covered the raised areas with Perfect Medium.

And I applied gold Perfect Pearls powder over the tag. Remember to use water to fix it.

I used Multi-Medium as a glue and applied a thin coat on the back of the cardboard.

mk-po-tegu-13

I glued the cardboard to the tag.

For the decoration I made a kind of a nest with natural palm fiber and glued it to the tag with a few artificial berries.

I also added some die-cut leaves and hemp cord.
