Hello Card – Rainbow Circles on Black

I made this card to try a new technique from the class Clean & Simple 3: One Layer Cards. It is also the first try of using my new KNK Zing electronic cutting machine in my scrapbooking projects.

It was an experiment and it went almost well. There were problems at first but I could make corrections and solve them. The technique involves a lot of die cutting. First I was thinking about using my Big Shot with regular dies but had another idea. To make it work I had to die cut custom letters and shapes. So I turned on my newly purchased KNK Zing. The software that comes with it is easy to use. It took me less then half an hour to design the cutting project. Then I tested it on regular paper and went on to my colored cardstock. I used black textured cardstock and for the rainbow gradient I used Distress Inks and an ink blending tool.
